The wonders of wool

Just spent a very happy day learning to make felt. Thanks to Pat Robertson for good teaching and lots of lovely coloured fleece...

  1. such lovely colours in those pieces! I taught myself to make felt out of shed rabbit fur, I've not perfected the technique but the felt is lovely and soft...

  2. Ah, rabbit fur must be gorgeous to work with. The mat is my tribute to sphagnum moss, and has some bits of moss worked into it. I am regularly struck dumb by all the colours in the bogs here, and have often wondered if it might be possible to make a bog-moss tapestry. So it was the automatic place for me to start. And as for the buttercup slippers...
